Patient Newsletter April 11 Posted or Updated on 11 Apr 2024

Welcome to the latest of our weekly newsletters. We regard it as a priority that all patients at our surgeries at Adlington, Buckshaw, Croston, Eaves Lane Chorley and Lostock Hall are kept informed of developments and news which may be of interest to you. We hope these updates continue to prove useful.

Holiday Vaccinations

We would like to remind any patients requiring travel vaccinations that they need to complete the appropriate form on our website at www.nmhealthinnovations.co.uk

in order that we can make an appointment for you.

You can find it by clicking the tab marked ‘Services’ on the bar at the top of the home page, then choose ‘Clinics and Services’ and scroll to the bottom of the list where you then click on ‘Travel Vaccination and Travel Advice.’

Please then complete the online form and click the ‘submit’ button. The form will come through to our staff at your chosen surgery.

If you have no internet access, please pick up a hard copy from your surgery and drop off at reception.

When the form is received, one of our nurses will check it and get back to you to advise if vaccinations are needed and if so, which ones, and will make an appointment for you.

Please note the form must be received at least eight weeks before the date of travel so make sure you submit your form early enough to allow time for vaccinations to be booked.

Road Works

Please could patients attending Croston Medical Centre note that roadworks close to the Highfield Road/Southport Road junction by the Highfield pub/restaurant have been causing delays this week.

If you have an appointment at the surgery or need to attend for any other reason, please allow extra time for your journey.

In addition, there are overnight closures planned for Euxton Lane next week which if they overrun may affect your journey to Buckshaw Surgery so please bear this in mind when planning your journey.

Buckshaw Surgery Car Park

We advised last week that due to the need for essential maintenance work to be carried out on the roof of Buckshaw Surgery, a crane needed to be positioned in the surgery car park, therefore restricting already sparse parking spaces.

The crane was due this week but there has been a delay in the work proceeding and it has not yet arrived.

We will advise as soon as the work is proceeding or if there is any change in the situation.

Homeless and Ukraine Appeals

We are continuing to accept donations for both The Chorley Homeless Group and The Chorley Support for Ukraine group.

If you have any toiletries, sanitary products, baby items, pet food, non-perishable food items, shoes, clean duvets, blankets, towels, coats or sleeping bags you can spare, please drop them off at any of our surgeries during opening hours.

Please mark your bags if you have a preference for which appeal you wish them to go to.
