What is Hepatitis C?

Hepatitis C (or Hep C) is a virus that affects the liver. Many people don’t know they have it because it often doesn’t cause symptoms until much later.

But the good news is:

• Hep C can be cured with simple tablets
• Testing is quick, easy, and usually just a finger-prick

Who should get tested?

You should consider getting tested if:

• had dental or other medical procedures overseas - including veneers
• You’ve been in the military
• You've ever been too drunk to remember what you did
• You’ve had unsterile tattoos or piercings
• You’ve ever injected drugs or snorted cocaine
