Welcome to the latest of our weekly newsletters. We regard it as a priority that all patients at our Adlington, Buckshaw, Croston, Eaves Lane Surgery and Lostock Hall surgeries are kept fully informed of news relevant to them. We hope these updates continue to prove useful.
Building Work Affecting Parking at Buckshaw Village Surgery
Please note planned building work on the surgery building at Buckshaw will begin on Monday, April 28 and is expected to take two weeks.
The work will require scaffolding to be put up around the building and therefore the disabled car parking spaces will be moved over to the opposite side of the car park.
Patients are also advised that as there will be less spaces available, parking will be more limited than usual so please allow extra time to arrive for appointments to avoid being late.
Thank you in anticipation of your understanding.
Croston Walk-In Clinic
A reminder that the Monday Walk-in Clinic at Croston Medical Centre has now been renamed ‘Open Clinic.’ Doors will open at 8.30am.
Patients will book in as normal and be given an allotted time and they will then have the option to sit and wait or return at their appointment time.
The above clinic will run from 8.30am-Noon with a limited capacity of 16 patients. This is due to only having one GP on site at CMC on Mondays.
Wednesday’s Walk-in Clinic will run as normal with two GPs and a maximum of 32 patients who will be seen on a first come, first served basis.
This arrangement may change during some weeks due to availability of GPs.
Please note both the above clincis are as before for Croston Medical Centre patients only.
Homeless and Ukraine Appeals
We have recently visited both The Chorley Support for Ukraine group and The Chorley Homeless Group.
They have both expressed their thanks for your recent donations which have all been gratefully received.
The situation in Ukraine remains dire and the homeless group have also experienced high demand recently.
Both groups have therefore made a renewed appeal for donations of toiletries, sanitary products, baby items, pet food, non-perishable food items, shoes, clean duvets, blankets and towels.
As usual, you can drop off donations for both appeals at any of our surgery sites during opening hours, and please mark your bags accordingly if you have a preference as to which appeal you wish them to go to.
A Day Late!
Apologies but due to logistical reasons, the newsletter has been published a day later than the usual Thursday publication time. Back to normal next week.
