Weekly Patient Newsletter - Thursday, April 28 Posted or Updated on 2 Feb 2023

Welcome to the latest of our weekly newsletters. We regard it as a priority that all our patients are kept fully informed of all developments at Buckshaw Village Surgery, Croston and Adlington Medical Centres, our sites at Lostock Hall and on matters affecting former Eaves Lane Surgery patients. We hope these regular updates will continue to prove useful.

Bank Holiday Opening Times

Please note that all our surgery sites will be closed this Monday, May 2 due to the Spring Bank Holiday. Please call 999 in the event of an emergency or 111 in the case of non-emergency calls on this day.

Our sites reopen at 8am on Tuesday, May 3 with normal opening hours from this day onwards.

However, please be advised that our surgery sites will also be closed from Thursday, June 2 to Sunday, June 5 inclusive due the Bank Holiday’s marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Blood Clinics

Our blood clinics are now operating every Tuesday morning at Adlington Medical Centre, Croston Medical Centre and The Village Surgery at Lostock Hall and at Buckshaw Village Surgery every Thursday & Friday morning.

Please note these are not walk-in clinics and all appointments should be made in advance and at the surgery where you are registered as a patient.

If you call by phone or call at our surgeries in person to make an appointment for our blood clinics, our staff will try to fit you in with the earliest possible appointment.

However, if the clinics are booked up for the immediate future, they may advise you to use the blood clinics at Chorley Hospital or other local sites.

If this is the case, you will need to check with the alternative site as to whether you will need to book in advance as their arrangements differ from ours and are subject to change.

Ukraine Appeal

We are now accepting clothing for the Chorley & District Support for Ukraine group’s appeal as well as toiletries, ladies' sanitary products, baby items, non-perishable foods and tins of dog and cat food.

Our staff will be on hand to assist you if needed and items can be dropped off at any of our surgeries at any time during opening hours.

Thank you for your amazing generosity so far but items are still desperately needed so please help the appeal if you can.

Patient News and Feedback

Patient feedback and suggestions are welcome and can be submitted in writing or as a comment on our social media channels under the title NM Health Innovations.

We will normally respond as quickly as possible but please note our social media channels are not at this stage monitored on a 24 hour basis.

Please note for logistical reasons we are unable to accept requests for appointments via social media and any urgent issues should NOT be addressed via a message to us on social media.

If you have a complaint, please see our website at www.nmhealthinnovations.co.uk where you will find a downloadable form under the tab entitled ‘Comments and Complaints’ to the left of the home page.

If you do not have access to the Internet, please call in at any of our sites and our staff will download a copy for you.
