Patient Newsletter June 20 Posted or Updated on 20 Jun 2024

Welcome to the latest of our weekly newsletters. We regard it as a priority that all patients at our Adlington, Buckshaw, Croston, Eaves Lane, Chorley and Lostock Hall sites are kept fully informed of developments at NM Health Innovations. We hope these regular updates continue to prove useful.

Covid Spring Booster Vaccinations

A reminder that the 2024 Covid Spring Booster vaccination programme comes to an end on June 30.

Up to this date, Buckshaw Pharmacy are continuing to offer the jab and have advised any eligible patients wanting the vaccination to book online through the NHS website.

Jabs are also being administered at Ryan Medical Centre in Bamber Bridge but please note we are not offering this vaccination at any of our surgeries.

Eligible patients are those aged 75 or over and those with an immune-supressed condition, or those who are residents in a care home for older adults.

We have not had any notification from NHS England about an Autumn booster programme but we will advise if and when we receive any information.

Patient Appointments

Figures released last week show the NHS is facing record demand for urgent care, with A&Es in England managingd their busiest ever month for attendances in May.

New monthly performance data also shows that it was a record April for the number of elective appointments delivered for hundreds of thousands of patients.

We are doing our best to provide patients at our surgeries with as many appointments as possible and we are constantly reviewing our practice to ensure we can offer as many appointments and services as we can.

We thank all our patients for their patience and understanding on this and would ask anyone having any issues to advise our reception staff who will do their utmost to assist.

Our Social Media Channels

We now provide regular NHS health information and helpful tips and advice on our Facebook page NMhealthinnovations and our Twitter/X page at @NmHealth.

Please also check out our website at https://www.nmhealthinnovations.co.uk/ or if you don’t have access to the internet, call in at any of our surgeries where you can pick up leaflets on a range of health issues.

Ask our reception staff if you need any more details.

Homeless and Ukraine Appeals

Many thanks to our patients for the donations you have recently made to both The Chorley Homeless Group and The Chorley Support for Ukraine group which have now been delivered to the respective depots.

However, your donations are more desperately needed than ever as our Homeess group deal with mor service users and the situation in the Ukraine remains critical.

If you have any toiletries, sanitary products, baby items, pet food, non-perishable food items, shoes, clean duvets, blankets, towels, coats or sleeping bags you can spare, please drop them off at any of our surgeries during opening hours.

Please mark your bags if you have a preference for which appeal you wish them to go to.
