Welcome to the latest of our weekly newsletters. We regard it as a priority that all patients at our Adlington, Buckshaw, Croston, Eaves Lane Chorley and Lostock Hall surgeries are kept fully informed of news relevant to them. We hope these updates continue to prove useful.
Parking at Buckshaw Village Surgery
Patients should be aware parking enforcement changes are now in operation in the areas around Buckshaw Village Surgery.
Parking on the curbs is strictly forbidden and it is an offence to block the path around the surgery, includes the paths along the school fence, around the back of the surgery and the side of the Hub.
Fines of up to £120 have been implemented and wardens are attending to monitor the situation on a daily basis.
Please note the situation and take extra care when parking.
Holiday Vaccinations
If you’re booking a trip abroad this summer which may require vaccinations, please note you must submit your application form at least eight weeks before you travel to allow time for processing and appointments.
To avoid these issues which might result in having to use a private clinic where you’ll be charged, download a request form at https://www.nmhealthinnovations.co.uk/.
Click the ‘Online Services’ tab then the ‘Who to See’ link under the ‘Book Appointments’ section then scroll down to ‘Travel Vaccinations.’
Complete the form and click ‘submit’ to send the form to your chosen site where our nurses will check and make an appointment for you if vaccinations are needed.
If you don’t have internet access, call at your own surgery to complete a hard copy.
Homeless and Ukraine Appeals
The Chorley Support for Ukraine group have expressed their thanks for your recent donations which have all been gratefully received.
The situation in Ukraine remains critical and the group have made a renewed appeal for donations of toiletries, sanitary products, baby items, pet food, non-perishable food items, shoes, clean duvets, blankets and towels.
As usual, you can drop off donations for at any of our surgery sites during opening hours, and we will ensure they are transported to the depot in Chorley.
