Patient Newsletter June 27 Posted or Updated on 27 Jun 2024

Welcome to the latest of our weekly newsletters. We regard it as a priority that all patients at our Adlington, Buckshaw, Croston, Eaves Lane, Chorley and Lostock Hall sites are kept fully informed of developments at NM Health Innovations. We hope these regular updates continue to prove useful.

Covid Spring Booster Vaccinations

This weekend sees the close of the 2024 Covid Spring Booster vaccination programme.

Buckshaw Pharmacy are continuing to offer the jab up to the weekend and will be doing so until the pharmacy’s usual Saturday closing time of noon.

Any remaining eligible patients wanting the vaccination can book online through the NHS website.

Eligible patients are those aged 75 or over and those with an immune-supressed condition, or those who are residents in a care home for older adults.

We have not had any notification from NHS England about an Autumn booster programme but we will advise if and when we receive any information.

Our Community Skin Diagnostic Hub

Our Community Skin Diagnostic Hub is based at Buckshaw Village Surgery and is proving to be a valuable and well used resource.

All our patients using the service will be directed here if they are referred to this service following an initial triage contact with their own GP.

You may like to check out the information resource on our website at https://www.nmhealthinnovations.co.uk/ where you can find it under the ‘Services’ tab, or alternatively please call at our surgery and pick up a hard copy leaflet.

Should you have any queries, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

Patient Appointments

Newly released data shows that it was a record April for the NHS in terms of the number of elective appointments delivered for hundreds of thousands of patients.

We are doing our best to provide patients at our surgery with as many appointments and services as possible and we are constantly reviewing our practice to ensure we do this.

We thank patients for their patience and understanding and would ask anyone having any issues to advise our reception staff who will do their utmost to assist.

Homeless and Ukraine Appeals

Donations for The Chorley Homeless Group and The Chorley Support for Ukraine are still being accepted

If you have any toiletries, sanitary products, baby items, pet food, non-perishable food items, shoes, clean duvets, blankets, towels, coats or sleeping bags you can spare, please drop them off at any of our surgeries during opening hours.

Please mark your bags if you’ve a preference for which appeal you wish them to go to.
