Mpox
You may have seen reports in the national media regarding the outbreak of Mpox, which was previously known as Monkeypox.
Mpox is a rare infection most commonly found in west or central Africa.
There has recently been an increase in cases around the world, but please be aware that the risk of catching it is low.
However, in the light of the recent outbreak, as a precautionary measure when contacting our surgery, you will be asked about recent travel.
If you have travelled overseas and have any of the symptoms of Mpox, we would ask that you DO NOT PRESENT at the practice and instead call 111 for advice.
