Every year over 700,000 people are admitted to hospital with Respiratory conditions in the UK.  Our aim is to help you to stay well. Our Special Respiratory Service will help keep you well in preparation for, and during the Winter months. This service is for patients with worsening breathing symptoms. We aim to see patients with flare-ups of their respiratory conditions on the day they contact the practice.

For those living with long-term respiratory conditions like COPD or asthma, winter can worsen your symptoms.

 

MAKE SURE YOUR INHALERS ARE IN DATE - if not order a new one!

Keeping you well this winter

 

·         wear warm night wear and keep your windows closed at night

·         Layer up your clothing

·         Keep blankets handy

·         Eat warm food and drinks

·         Make sure your emergency inhaler is in date

·         Keep active

·         Get you flu vaccine

·         Quit smoking
