JOINT INJECTIONS
Steroid joint injections can reduce inflammation and ease pain in your joints. This allows you to move joints more easily. You might have a steroid injection if you have a painful or swollen joint.
Steroid joint injections are injected directly into a painful or swollen joint, or into the soft tissue around it. Inside the joint, they act against substances that cause inflammation and damage your tissues. Having an injection into the injured area can also release pressure, which helps with pain and swelling.
You can discuss the option of Joint Injections with a Clinician at the practice. Please book an appointment with a GP to discuss. When referred for joint injections we will contact you with an appointment. We will ask you to provide consent for the procedure and provide information for aftercare.
MINOR SURGERY - lumps and bumps
Our Gps have undergone specialist training to offer minor surgery to remove some skin lesions. We need to assess whether your lesion is suitable for removal in the GP pracitice. Some lesions need to be referred to the dermatology clinic depending on their location on the body, size, or type and there may require an ulrasound prior to removal.
