Patient Participation Group

The Patient participation Group (PPG)

 

The role of the PPG is to ensure that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services provided by the surgery through forming a representative group who can share their ideas and suggestions directly to the Principal Clinician and Management.

We feel it is vital to routinely ask for and act on the views of our patients through the proactive engagement of all patients. The PPG is a more formal group involved with, and providing feedback across, a broad range of areas including:

  • Convenience of access: opening times, ability to book ahead, ability to be seen quickly, telephone answering.
  • Patients’ experience of the treatment and service they receive.
  • The physical environment.
  • New Services.
  • Other issues specific to the practice.
