Student Zone

We have students from the local universities in practice from September to June. We are delighted that you are coming to do your placement and we will make it as engaging as we can. If you do have any particular areas that you have interest in within General Practice please let us know and we will endeavor to meet your needs. 

For any patients who require reasonable adjustments please let us know prior to arrival. 

Our patients wellbeing is central to all that we do. Patients are aware that we have medical students within the practice and most patients are at ease with you in the room. There may be occassions when the patient would prefer not to have a student in. We will always ask the patient. 

Each site has a Co-ordinator who oversees the daily running of the surgery. On your first day we will ensure that you have a tour of the building are are shown the amenities, fire exits etc.

If, for any reason, you are unable to attend placement please let us know as early as possible. You have the details of who to contact on your email. If you have any concerns please speak with us, we are here to help. We work closely with the University to look after your wellbeing during your placement.
